”Hello Guys, my name is Ruama, I am 24 years old.
I arrived here some weeks ago and I’m participating the Olympic Legacy Project, here in York.
When I arrived here, I had my first challenge: I went a green messenger at the Leeds Festial. Basically this is a sustainability project in one of big musical festival here in Yorkshire. Were three days the work very intense, where I could learn and meet people. It was a unique experience.
Currently, I’m volunteering in the Poppleton Ousebank Primary School, with childrens between three and four years old. My role is to help the teacher in the class with about 29 childrens. It is being an incredible experience, because I’m having direct contact with British culture and although with all difficulties, I’m improving my English and my communication skills.”
